Dundee Writes saw the launch of its fourth issue at this year’s Dundee Literary Festival – a wonderful event of readings, free wine, and hot-off-the-press copies of the magazine. Issue 4′ s contributors had the rare opportunity to take to the stage and read their work from the very same platform as internationally renowned authors and poets, and were fortunate enough to have among the audience an appreciative Alan Warner, James Meek, and Kirsty Gunn.
Copies of Dundee Writes 4 can be picked up from libraries throughout Dundee – get them while you still can!
Dundee Writes is received with thanks by literary institutions and initiatives throughout Scotland and makes its way into the mailboxes of literary agents throughout the country – the literary energy here in Dundee does not go unnoticed. Dundee Writes is an excellent opportunity to see your own writing published and reach a wide and influential readership – so get submitting!
A quick thanks to everyone involved in the production of Issue 4, to those who came along and supported us at the launch, and, most of all, to those who made donations to the Dundee Writes fund. Dundee Writes is a profitless enterprise and your support is not only greatly appreciated but quite crucial for the continuance of the magazine.
